Three Students Chosen as Apprentices at Santa Fe for 2016
Three current and former students from David Okerlund's studio were selected as summer Apprentices at Santa Fe Opera for summer 2016!
Andrew Paulson, baritone, will return for his second summer at Santa Fe. He will sing the role of Happy in Puccini's La fanciulla del west, Diener #2 in Strauss' Capriccio, and cover Mercutio in Gounod's Romèo et Juliette.
Alan Higgs, bass-baritone, will be spending his first summer in Santa Fe. He will play José Castro in La fanciulla del west, and cover the Major Domo in Vanessa and a Diener in Capriccio.
James Harrington, bass, will also be spending his first summer in Santa Fe. He will sing the roles of Billy Jackrabbit in La fanciulla del west, and Diener #4 in Capriccio, and cover the Haushofmeister in Capriccio and Capulet in Romèo et Juliette.
